Eileen Cohen Billinson, founder of The Brighton Group Legal Search Services LLC (“Brighton Legal Search”), is a lawyer who has been involved in legal recruiting and career management for more than three decades. A 1979 cum laude graduate of Syracuse University College of Law, Eileen practiced as a complex commercial litigator in Washington, DC.
Eileen brings to legal placement the same commitment to excellence and integrity that has defined her entire professional career. A frequent speaker at industry conferences, bar association programs, law schools, and NALP events, she is singularly committed to helping others succeed in their careers. Her network of contacts is vast, spanning the country and the globe. Over the years she has recruited and worked with many lawyers with significant practices who have held or currently hold leadership positions at law firms and in-house legal departments.

Alpa Patel Chernof (Georgetown Law ’91, cum laude) practiced at two leading national and global law firms, Howrey LLP and Paul Hastings, in the Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles, California offices of both firms. With deep practice experience and the relationships she has developed in the legal community nationwide, Alpa identifies strategic opportunities to match talented lawyers and premier firms for mutual success. Employing her always current knowledge of law firms, practices, and legal markets, Alpa works with partners, counsel, and associates who are interested in exploring more rewarding platforms.
Like so many of her clients, Alpa also brings a broader perspective to her work. She has been a frequent speaker on legal career related issues, such as the retention of women in the workforce, alternative career tracks for lawyers, offboarding and onboarding, and strategies for optimizing work-life balance career choices. Alpa has also always been active in her community, including having served on the Board of Directors and various committees of regional charitable organizations, as well as several area private schools.
